The principals of Sentient, LLC are Carol Schubert Hancock, DBA, RVT, CVPM and Guy Hancock, DVM, MEd.
Carol holds DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) from the University of Phoenix, and an MBA from the University of the Pacific. She is a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) and Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). Carol has owned three veterinary hospitals, all of which she's sold, and co-owned an online community enterprise that offers accredited CE for members of the veterinary profession (vetmedteam.com). Carol has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in business leadership, marketing, supervision, law, operations, finance, entrepreneurial business, communications and research, and is currently teaching business at the masters level.
Guy holds a DVM degree from Ohio State University and an MEd from the
University of South Florida. After working in small animal practice for
10 years, including 4 years as a practice owner, he became the dean of St. Petersburg College's veterinary technology program in Florida for over 20 years,
and developed the first accredited online program for veterinary
technology. He is a long time volunteer for Hospice, multiple animal
foundations, American Association of Human-Animal Bond Veterinarians,
and served on the AVMA committee to accredit veterinary technology
programs nationwide. He served on the board of the Association of
Veterinary Family Practice.
Both Guy and Carol served on the Staff Utilization Committee of the National Commission for Veterinary Economic Issues.
